Test Analyst

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to create comprehensive test plans
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications and APIs
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems
• Perform regression testing to validate bug fixes and feature changes
• Conduct API testing using Postman or similar tools
• Collaborate with developers to understand system architecture and identify test coverage gaps
• Generate test reports and metrics to communicate quality status to stakeholders
• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (black-box, white-box, integration)
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver or Cypress)
• Proficiency in API testing with Postman or REST Assured
• Experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of SQL for database testing and data validation
• ISTQB certification is highly desirable
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
